Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Residency Admissions Requirements

Applicants with dental degrees from the US and Canada are preferred. A minimum of one year’s experience in a general practice residency or in general practice is desirable. All other candidates will be given consideration and are encouraged to apply.

The OMFR residency program participates in ADEA Pass (). We do not participate in the Match and applicants do not have to register for Match/pay the Match fee.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: September 1st. This is the deadline for all application materials, including those submitted to ADEA Pass. Note: the first step in using Pass is for the applicant to register and pay the PASS registration fee. Nothing will happen at PASS until you have paid and are registered.

Interviews for the OMFR residency program will be held during late September and early October. Only those with completed applications in ADEA Pass can be considered eligible for possible interviews.

The application season through ADEA PASS opens in mid-May.

Official transcripts uploaded into ADEA Pass from all universities attended are required. If you attended a non-US university, it is required that all international transcripts be evaluated by either ECE () or WES () foreign credentialing services, including GPA calculations and uploaded into ADEA Pass. No other credential evaluation services will be accepted.

Three professional evaluation forms (letters of recommendation) uploaded into ADEA Pass are required. Letters should be on professional stationery or letterhead from the school or business and signed by the recommender.

Institutional Evaluation form (formerly called the Dean’s letter) submitted by the Dean’s office and uploaded into ADEA Pass.

GRE or ADAT scores are required to be uploaded into ADEA Pass. All applicants are required to take either the GRE or ADAT. GRE scores taken more than 5 years before the application date have expired and will not be accepted.

Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT) scores must be uploaded into ADEA Pass for all international applicants. A minimum score of 92 is required for application consideration. TOEFL test scores taken more than 3 years before the application date have expired and will not be accepted.

Applicants who are Permanent Residents of the US must provide a certified copy of the front and back of the federal Green card. All international students must provide their full legal name as it appears on immigration documents. Send copies directly to Ms. Ninette Roberson at the program office address below.

Your CV and an application fee of $75 are required to be sent into the program office. We will accept checks or cashier’s checks. The check must be in US dollars and must be issued by an American Bank. Please make the check out to “Department of Comprehensive Dentistry – OMFR residency program” and send the check to the following address:
