The School of Dentistry is currently accepting nominations for the 2021 Faculty Research and Master Clinician Awards to recognize outstanding faculty performance in both categories. The Faculty Research Award is aimed at acknowledging the outstanding, lifetime scientific achievements made by a dental faculty member, while the Master Clinician Award will honor a full-time dental faculty member who provides direct patient care activities. The clinician nominee should display an in-depth knowledge in their field of practice, demonstrate commitment to professionalism, and provide compassionate, appropriate and effective care that is of the highest quality. Award recipients will conduct a 45-minute presentation on their research program or clinical discipline at the 2021 Virtual Research & Clinical Symposium, scheduled on February 17, 2021, where they will also be presented with their award and a $500 prize. Nomination packets can be sent by email to Ms. Aries Okungbowa-Ikponmwosa at OkungbowaIkp@uthscsa.edu by Friday, December 4, 2020. The packets should contain the following: • A letter of nomination from a fellow º£½ÇÂ×ÂÒ faculty; • A current curriculum vitae and a cover sheet that contains the nominee’s name, degree(s), title, and department(s); • Two additional letters of support from individual º£½ÇÂ×ÂÒ faculty, at least one from outside nominee’s home department The School looks forward to announcing the exemplary recipients of these faculty awards in February 2021!
